The hotel is large and appears to be well laid out. However many rooms do not have any windows and can be claustrophobic, especially as the power trips from time to time. The charges for these dungeons are the same as that for the decent ones with windows so one has to be extremely careful when checking in

I was there for 3 nights and just couldn’t sleep as there was a wedding function and music was too loud. I had to keep complaining till 1.30 at night to make the music softer but no one listened. It’s written in the lobby that DJ is allowed only till 10pm. Hotel staff couldn’t do anything. Room was also not clean and after telling them also it wasn’t done properly. I suggest pls make sure there is no function when you are going to stay there. Sofa in the room was torn. Shower in the bathroom was not working properly.

Warning: this hotel is not in Orchha but an hour's walk outside the town. In addition I was charged two nights that I didn't even stay for. When I brought this to the attention of the booking agent as advised by the hotel, Mr Amandeep Singh, manager of the hotel then invented some ridiculous lie about me demanding a river view. Utterly bizarre and dishonest way of doing business. Avoid!

By giving a rating of average, I don’t intend to imply there was anything wrong, but nothing was particularly great either. This was our first hotel that we stayed in during our tour in Madhya Pradesh, and was if my memory serves me correctly, a reasonably shortish drive from the railway station. The grounds inside the hotel were pretty impressive and I’m sure it would be a great place to enjoy a large Indian wedding with lots of people and music. However, when we stayed there it was practically empty and the whole place was just bit lacking in atmosphere. The dining room felt a bit dated and although the food we had at lunchtime was perfectly adequate, it didn’t inspire us to stay in the hotel and eat there in the evening. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. The WiFi was initially a bit flakey but it finally got sorted but was always better in reception that in my room. If visiting Orchha, this isn’t a bad place to stay and if I returned I wouldn’t mind staying there again, but ideally if there were a few other guests to give the place a bit of atmosphere.
